Get ready for an epic battle! On Sunday, July 19th, over 800 people will gather in Lakeville, MN to attend the 7th annual Challenge for Children’s paintball tournament. This is the largest charity paintball event in the Midwest and Standard Heating is excited to be a sponsor. Rain or shine, the event promises to be an action-packed day of games and family-friendly activities.
Started in 2009 by MN Pro Paintball founder Matt Ames, this event supports Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota—an independent, not-for-profit healthcare system. Matt, who was born with a congenital heart defect, personally understands the services Children’s provides. “Going through these multiple open-heart surgeries has given me some unique experiences.” He encourages people to join the tournament and think about the challenges faced by children undergoing daily medical treatment. “Come out and be a part of something that’s bigger than yourself.”
Over the last 6 years, the event has raised over $375,000. This year’s goal? Raise $150,000 to help build a new state-of-the-art Simulation Center at Minneapolis Children’s.
